The Synth Day we had last week was kind of a festive occasion in our course.
We gathered all the synths we had in our studios, made a circle, chose a harmony and played all together for hours. Some of us were responsible for the rhythm, like Aimee who was our guest. She played a drum machine synchronised with other synths. She also showed us modular synthesis by showing us some patching techniques.
I Played a Roland synth and Theremin (my very first experience with this mystic instrument). I enjoyed the entire process of the Synth Day. Each of us had a unique approach to any harmony we applied (we were conducted by our course leader Harry Whalley) and we made a very interesting combination of styles which ended up with something I'd describe "Psycho-Funk".
I'm looking forward to enjoy our next Synth Day!!
